An Immigrant Helping Immigrants with Honesty and Compassion
If you are a US citizen or lawful permanent resident, you might be able to start an immigration process for certain non-US citizen relatives to come and live in the United States.
A lawful permanent resident can become a US citizen after meeting certain legal requirements.
If you have been victim of certain crimes and meet other legal requirements, you might qualify for U visa status. This legal remedy can be obtained if you are inside or outside of the United States. If you are granted U visa status and remain in the United States for three years, you can apply to become a lawful permanent resident.
If you are a spouse and child of a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident OR if you are a parent of a U.S citizen who is 21 years old or older, and you are being abused by the U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident, you might be able to independently petition for yourself (self-petition). If the self-petition is approved, you may seek legal permanent residence. This can be done from inside or outside the United States.
This legal remedy is for noncitizens who have been victim of human trafficking and meet certain eligibility requirements. If you are granted T status, you may qualify to obtain legal permanent residency after a period of time.
